James Bartholomeusz is an Urban Transport Manager at the International Transport Workers’ Federation, the global union representing workers across all transport modes worldwide. The Federation promotes a social model of public transport, which incorporates public ownership and democratic control, sustainable financing, decent work, gender equality, technological sovereignty and climate justice. James’ work covers a range of topics related to the public transport sector, including: advocacy on public ownership and financing; the role of multinational companies in operating transport services; metro and urban rail; the representation of young workers; and The Future is Public Transport campaign run jointly with C40 Cities.
