Bahia Shehab
Bahia Shehab is a Cairo-based artist, author, and Professor of Design at The American University in Cairo, where she founded the graphic design program. Her work has been exhibited in over 30 cities around the world, and she has earned numerous international accolades, including a TED Senior Fellowship, a spot on the BBC 100 Women list, and the prestigious Prince Claus Award. She is the first Arab woman to receive the UNESCO-Sharjah Prize for Arab Culture. Bahia also serves as the founding director of Type Lab@AUC. Her publications include <em>You Can Crush the Flowers: A Visual Memoir of the Egyptian Revolution</em>, <em>At The Corner of a Dream</em>, <em>A Thousand Times NO: The Visual History of Lam-Alif</em>, and the co-authored <em>A History of Arab Graphic Design</em>.
