Summary

In this invitation-only workshop, participants will develop practical knowledge and tools on urban climate change action through a collaborative masterclass synthesising the topics of multi-level climate action, SDG localization for climate action, and city climate finance project preparation, with a view to developing practical knowledge outputs. In the context of the Urban-Act project, this session will enhance the ‘how to’ for policymakers of frameworks and finance for climate action.

Objectives

1. Reflecting upon course learnings in 2024, increase the understanding and knowledge of participants to build integrated climate action for low-carbon and resilient cities.
2. Synthesise key learnings and further development of city lessons and case studies with a view to new knowledge product development.
3. Enhance partnerships internally and externally between the Urban-Act project and with relevant organizations, institutions, and experts outside the Urban-Act project partners at WUF12.
