Summary

Aims to enhance urban sustainability and resilience by introducing participants to project preparation supports from programs like U.S. DoS/RCC/IoA/ICLEI's "Cities Forward", UN Habitat's "CIF" and CCFLA's PPAG. It guides the use of project preparation tools, covering stages from ideation to financing. The session also seeks to strengthen coordination among support providers, including development finance institutions and non-profits, to better prepare projects for financing and implementation.

Objectives

Provide guidance on selected project preparation frameworks & tools being applied in the participating partner project preparation assistance programs, to build capacity on project development and financing. Methodologies learned will range from helping project owners early in the project ideation and development stage understand the enabling environment, project phasing, building institutional capacity and stakeholder engagement, team formation, developing pre-feasibility concept notes.
