Center of Science and Technology and Industrial Development, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China and the Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government jointly propose a partner-led event titled From Good Housing to Good Cities, Building a Sustainable Future for All: Successful Experience Sharing from the World in order to respond to the WUF12 theme. The proposed event plans to explore Dialogues 3, namely Stronger Together, and strengthen partnerships to bring global goals to local realities, highlighting the power of collaboration in driving localized progress.
Center of Science and Technology and Industrial Development is a subordinate research center to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, which aims to promote good housing and sustainable development of cities and communities, and actively promote a series of activities in relation to the World Cities Day every year. As one of the five winners for the first cycle of the Global Award for Sustainable Development in Cities, Fuzhou is committed to being a role model in promoting global sustainability, implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and the New Urban Agenda.
The event aims to share experience of good housing, livable communities and sustainable cities. Together with cities around the world, we are committed to fostering a sustainable development community, providing an inclusive, open, and forward-thinking platform for exchange. Central to our efforts is the upcoming WUF12, where Dialogue 3 Stronger Together will be explored profoundly. This dialogue highlights our belief in the power of collaboration and shared learning to drive urban sustainability.
We actively invite cities worldwide to participate in the side event, not only to share their unique perspectives and Experience but also to establish close partnerships and collaboration. Through these interactions, we aim to ensure the participation of governments, citizens, businesses, and all other stakeholders in fostering resilience, inclusivity, and sustainability.
In conclusion, this side event will feature a dedicated dialogue on Stronger Together: Forging Urban Partnerships for Sustainable Development. Here, cities will explore ways to collaborate effectively, leveraging their collective strengths to tackle common challenges and advance the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and the New Urban Agenda.
