Objectives

The 90-minute "Future Foundations: A North-South Dialogue on Climate-Resilient Housing" session aims to foster collaboration among a globally diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in the housing and urban development sectors. This session is designed to share pioneering research and practices and to explore collaborative strategies to bridge the expertise gap in creating climate-resilient housing solutions. The event will showcase:

- The identification of knowledge and skill gaps in the conception and execution of climate-resilient housing, with a focused examination of the disparities and convergences between the Global North and South.

- Best practices and successful models of climate-resilient housing from various regions, emphasizing how different climatic, cultural, and economic contexts have led to innovative housing solutions.
