The event aims to serve as a crucial platform for stakeholders to come together and take stock of the implementation of UN-Habitat’s Strategic Plan 2020 – 2025 from diverse stakeholder perspectives. A key objective of the UN-Habitat Strategic Plan is to increase the number of stakeholders, the diversity of voices, and the quality of stakeholder involvement from design, to implimentation, and monitoring. The event will provide a forum for the exchange of learnings, insights, and experiences to facilitate the co-creation of key recommendations for consideration in developing and implementing the new UN-Habitat Strategic Plan 2026 – 2029. The event will include quick overview presentations about the strategic planning process and take the shape of a fishbowl set-up to stimulate a dynamic and interactive exchange. The networking event is convened by the UN-Habitat Stakeholder Advisory Group Enterprise (SAGE) which has been working to provide strategic guidance, develop action plans, and foster collaboration to support key initiatives within UN-Habitat and its stakeholder groups, networks, and other partners. It compromises of 16 urban experts, representing different stakeholder constituencies, thematic areas, and geographic regions.

- Reflecting on the experiences and lessons learnt from the UN-Habitat Stakeholder Advisory Group Enterprise (SAGE)
- Enhancing awareness amongst stakeholders of the development process of UN-Habitat’s new strategic plan 2026-2029
- Capturing and co-creating key recommendations from stakeholders to inform the implementation of the upcoming UN-Habitat Strategic Plan.
