This event will bring together mayors and key urban actors from cities in Africa and Latin America to share inspiring stories on how they are pioneering participatory planning methods.
Around the world, local governments, communities, and urban leaders are implementing innovative strategies to ensure cities are places for all, supporting sustainable growth and improved livelihoods. From digital innovation to community-driven climate action, many cities are leading the way in inclusive urban development. However, ensuring that a broad part of the population benefits from urban development, but as well in particular marginalized groups such as migrants, women, and people with disabilities, are heard in the urban planning process, remains a challenge.
