Summary

The Results Based Management (RBM) training for mayors will focus on partnerships and city diplomacy to drive urban development. Mayors will explore leveraging collaborations with local and global stakeholders. Strategies for effective city-level diplomacy, enhancing relationships with other cities and international organizations will be discuses. The training will equip mayors to implement RBM approaches based on UNHabitat RBM handbook and tailored to their cities' needs.

Objectives

Participants in the event who constitute the inaugural cohort of the 1st mayors academy will learn strategic partnership building, fostering collaborations with diverse stakeholders for urban development. They will develop city diplomacy skills to promote mutual growth and global impact through relationships with other cities. Additionally, they will gain proficiency in Results-Based Management, enabling effective and accountable urban development initiatives via clear objectives and outcomes.
